I am originally from Dublin, Georgia, and I served honorably in the Army Reserve from 2002 to 2010, including a 2005-2006 deployment to Iraq.

Education and early career
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Macon State College, now part of Middle Georgia State University, while working as a software engineer contractor at Robins Air Force Base.
Developer-to-AppSec perspective
My path moved from Army Reserve service, to college IT support, to software engineering, and then into application security engineering. That gives me a practical view of how code is written, how teams ship, and how findings need to be validated, explained, prioritized, and fixed.
Tooling and DevSecOps focus
I have integrated both open source and commercial AppSec tools into CI/CD pipelines so developers can receive security feedback earlier and with less friction. My experience includes false positive analysis, remediation guidance, secure development workflows, and improving security-tool signal quality.
Denver and hands-on practice
I have lived in the Denver metro area since 2015. Outside of consulting work, I build and maintain a Proxmox-based homelab, home network, and self-hosted applications, which keeps my technical practice operational and hands-on.
